- Find a hobby. Focusing on positive activities will help you become more relaxed, happier, and thinner.
- Avoid skipping meals.
- Stop eating the moment you feel pleasantly full. Make a habit of judging the serving size that suits you and the quantity that is sufficient for you.
- Fill your plate with food only once. If you're still hungry, have another serving of veggies and then stop.
- Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like - going for a walk in the park or reading a good book etc.
- Stay active. Try your hand in gardening or other light activities that will help you stay fit.
- Get regular checkups done. Six months once, go for blood sugar, lipid profile, cholesterol and blood tests.
- Give up excess caffeine and other stimulants, reduce your alcohol intake and, if you smoke, quit. You can replace bad habits with healthy new habits.
- Set up goals and reward yourself on achieving them. This will keep you motivated forever.

- Physical activity plays a central role in staying fit. So it is very important to be physically active on a regular basis. Physical activity can be in any form - might be in the form of your daily household work or going for a walk or gardening etc.
- THERE ARE 1440 MINUTES IN EVERY DAY. SCHEDULE 30 MIN OF IT FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.
- All adults should try to do at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity at least five times a week. To start with you may also divide the 30 minutes into shorter bouts of 10 minute activity three times a day. Choose an activity which interests you. To avoid boredom keep changing the activity.
